Card declined while you're abroad? Sales.Travel accepts cryptocurrency through a payment gateway — a calm way to settle a booking when your usual methods aren't available.
Crypto payments go through a payment gateway: we issue an invoice, the rate is locked the moment it's created and stays valid for a limited time. You send the amount to the address shown, and once the network confirms it, the booking counts as paid. Check the supported coins and networks right at the payment step; the status is always visible under My bookings.
01 / WhoWho finds crypto convenient
Crypto is an independent fallback channel that helps when the usual methods fail. People typically reach for it in three situations.
- You're abroad. A local bank or payment system blocks a charge to a Russian service, but the booking needs to be settled now.
- Your card is declined. Limits, bank restrictions or anti-fraud reject the payment even though the funds are there.
- You already hold crypto. Some of your money sits in stablecoins, and paying with them is faster than moving it to a card first.
02 / HowHow to pay, step by step
Choose crypto at the payment step
Book your tour or ticket as usual and pick «Cryptocurrency» on the payment screen. The available coins and networks are shown right there — check the list when you pay.
Get an invoice with a locked rate
The gateway generates an invoice: the crypto amount, a payment address and a countdown timer. The rate is already locked, so the amount won't drift while the invoice is valid.
Send exactly the amount shown
Copy the address (or scan the QR code) and send the exact amount on the required network from your wallet or exchange. The network must match the one shown in the invoice.
Wait for network confirmation
After a few blockchain confirmations, the payment is credited automatically. Your booking status updates under My bookings.
03 / RateHow the rate is locked and how long the invoice lasts
Crypto is volatile, so the rate is locked the moment the invoice is issued. While the invoice is active, the amount due stays put — you pay exactly what you see. The window is limited: if it expires, just request a new invoice at the current rate.
04 / DetailsNetwork fees, refunds and receipts
- Network fee. The blockchain charges its own fee (gas) on top of the invoice — it's taken by the network, not by Sales.Travel. Keep it in mind when checking your wallet balance.
- Refunds. If a booking is refundable, the refund follows the fare rules; check the refund format with support, since crediting crypto isn't instant.
- Proof of payment. Once credited, the booking status and documents appear under My bookings; for a formal receipt, contact support.
05 / FAQFrequently asked questions
Which coins and networks are supported?
The gateway works with common stablecoins and coins, but the set can change. The exact list and available networks are always shown at the payment step — that's where to check.
What if the rate moves while I'm paying?
Nothing: the rate is locked when the invoice is issued and stays valid for a limited time. While the timer is running, the amount doesn't change. If time runs out, just create a new invoice.
I sent the wrong amount or used the wrong network. What now?
Don't send any more transfers. Contact support via @sales_travel_bot with your booking number and transaction hash — we'll help reconcile the payment manually.
Can I get a refund if I paid with crypto?
Whether you can get a refund depends on the booking's fare rules, not the payment method. If you're eligible, we'll agree on the format with you — it usually takes a while because of how crypto works. Check the details with support.
