Referral programme: invite a friend

ISIgor SedovUpdated 12 May 20265 min read7 480 read

Great trips are meant to be shared — and on Sales.Travel sharing them pays off, too. Any tour, hotel or listing card can become a personal link that remembers the friend came from you.

In short

Sign in to your account, open any tour or hotel card and tap “Share” — your referral code is added to the link automatically (?ref=YOUR_CODE). Send it to a friend in any messenger. Once they follow it and register, the referral is tied to you and you earn bonuses.

01 / How it worksWhat happens behind the scenes

The mechanics are simple and transparent. Your code lives inside the link itself rather than in a separate dashboard, so you can share straight from the card of an offer you like — with no extra steps.

  • A link with a code. The “Share” button adds a ?ref=YOUR_CODE parameter to the address — that is your personal tag.
  • A cookie on the friend’s side. When your friend opens the link, an st_ref cookie with your code is saved in their browser.
  • Attribution on sign-up. If the friend creates an account, the referral is attributed to you automatically.
  • Bonuses. You earn bonuses for the friends you bring in.

02 / How to shareSending the referral link in a minute

1

Sign in to your account

The “Share” button with a referral code is available only to signed-in users. Log in to your account first — otherwise the link will go out without your code.

2

Open an offer card

Any tour, hotel or listing card will do. Pick something your friend will genuinely like — the more relevant the offer, the higher the chance they follow the link and register.

3

Tap “Share”

The site builds the link and embeds your referral code into it. Copy it, or pick a messenger right from the menu.

4

Send it to a friend

You can share it in any messenger or social network — Telegram, WhatsApp, VK and others. There are no restrictions on the channel.

Tip: check the code is in the linkBefore sending, glance at the copied address — it should contain a ?ref= fragment with your code. If it is missing, you are most likely not signed in.

03 / When it countsWhen a referral is attributed

SituationReferral counted?
Friend followed the link and registered a new accountYes
Friend opened the link but hasn’t finished signing up yetNot yet — attribution happens at the moment of sign-up
Friend cleared cookies before signing up or opened the site in another browserThe st_ref tag may be lost — ask them to follow the link again
Friend already has a Sales.Travel accountUsually no — the programme is aimed at new users
The tag lives in the friend’s browserThe st_ref cookie is stored locally, so incognito mode, clearing history or switching devices can wipe the attribution before sign-up. The safest route is to open the link and register right away in the same browser.

04 / BonusesWhat you get for friends

You earn bonuses for the friends you invite. It’s best to check the current accrual terms and bonus amount in your account — they may change over time, and we keep them in one place to avoid any confusion.

Where to track your activityYour order history and account activity are easy to follow in “My bookings”. If you have questions about bonuses, message the bot @sales_travel_bot or contact support.

05 / FAQFrequently asked questions

Does my friend need to buy anything for the referral to count?

Attribution happens when your friend registers via your link. For the bonus accrual terms themselves, check your account — it always holds the latest version.

Which messengers can I send the link to?

Any of them: Telegram, WhatsApp, VK, email — there are no channel restrictions. The main thing is that your ?ref= code stays in the link.

Why is there no referral code in my link?

Most often it means you aren’t signed in. Log in to your account and tap “Share” again — the code will be added automatically.

What if my friend opened the link but didn’t register right away?

The st_ref tag stays in their browser until sign-up, but it can be lost if cookies are cleared or the device changes. If in doubt, ask them to reopen the link before creating their account.
