Consolidators buy blocks of seats directly from the airline at an IATA fare — a wholesale rate that runs 20–40% below public prices on Booking or at the ticket counter. These fares never show up on aggregators like Aviasales, Kayak, or Google Flights — they simply aren't in those systems.
Rule of thumb: if you see Emirates Business Class Moscow–Dubai listed from $1,960 on Aviasales, a consolidator can find the same route for $1,410–$1,520.
Skywards:
upgrading with miles
If you already have an Emirates Skywards account, good. If not, open one right now. Miles accrue on every Emirates and flydubai flight, plus purchases with 100+ partners. Upgrading from Economy to Business on a Moscow–Dubai flight costs 10,000–20,000 miles, subject to seat availability.
Staff-fare tickets

Emirates staff can buy up to 10 tickets a year at employee rates and resell the "load" (standby seats) through trusted agents. It's a grey area, but it's been standard practice in the market for 20+ years. These seats move through a narrow network of agents and come at a 40–60% discount off the public Business fare.
- ✓Downside: standby status. You board last. If the flight is full, you fly the next one. Works well if your schedule is flexible.
- ✓Upside: the price. Business Class Moscow–Singapore for $1,030–$1,300 instead of $3,040 is a reality.
- ✓Tip: Only book through vetted brokers. Scammers are common in this niche.
