Russian citizens need a visa — it can be obtained online via the ICA website (icp.gov.ae) or through the airline when buying a ticket. A 30-day visa costs around $100–120 and is processed in 2–4 business days. A valid Schengen, US, or UK multiple-entry visa qualifies you for 14 days of visa-free entry.
Good to know: Emirates often throws in visa processing for free or at a discount when you book a flight. Ask about it at booking.

What to Know Before You Go
- ✓Burj Khalifa. Book the 148th-floor observation deck ticket ahead of time — online slots sell out 3–5 days in advance. Sunset is the best time to go.
- ✓Dubai Frame. An underrated viewpoint with old and new Dubai side by side, and far shorter lines.
- ✓Getting around. The metro runs smoothly. A Nol card costs 25 AED plus top-up. Taxis are cheaper than in Moscow.
- ✓Dress code. Cover shoulders and knees in malls and on the street. Anything goes on the beach.
