Aljada Heart of Sharjah —
a cultural quarter
Technically it's not Dubai at all — it's Sharjah. But a 25-minute taxi ride puts you in a completely different world: art galleries, Middle Eastern restaurants without the tourist markup, and a sprawling modern-architecture district by Zaha Hadid Architects. Entry is free, and the crowd is mostly local.

Talea restaurant —
hard to get into
An Italian restaurant inside the Four Seasons DIFC. An Italian chef, ingredients flown in from Naples, a menu that shifts with the seasons. Reservations open 30 days out and sell through in hours. Book the moment your date opens up — via OpenTable or the hotel concierge.
- ✓Best table. The corner spot by the window — a view of the Dubai Financial Centre. Ask for it when booking.
- ✓Average check. 900–1,400 AED for two with wine. Reasonable by Dubai standards.
- ✓Alternative. Couldn't get in? LPM Restaurant & Bar in DIFC is a similar level and slightly easier to book.
